Watching the cathedral choristers on televsion at Easter made me realise what a privilege it was to live in the Close from 1970 to 1973. Looking forward to the reunion event on Saturday and being in the Medieval Hall again.

Was at College 1949-51 and remember some of the names! Have been hoping to trace my College daughter, Clare Moran (50-52). She helped me with school practice prep., which, because they were so beautifully made, were used for many years after College! If anyone has her address do please e-mail me. Many thanks.

Good to see Sarum site in action and catch up a little. I was 49-51 anyone out there from my years in addition to you KAY.? I remember you well. I was one of the billetees with our base in the room looking over the main entry gate. We watched the beginning of the new buildings etc. and spent year 2 in the new top floor rooms with a splendid view of the CATHEDRAL.Dorothy

I was looking at the 1911 Census and was thrilled to see that my grandmother Winifred Teresa White was a student at the college and looking at your photographs I have a photograph of her sister in the same gym slip as in your archives Her name was Elsie Kate White

Hi Dorothy, I was one of the last lot to attend Sarum St Michael and qualified in 1978. We "babes" are now in our late 50s! If you would write your years at college down I'll see who I can trace through the Old Students Association and get back to you. You can email me at [email protected] If you are not a member of the Association and would like to be contact me and I'll put you in touch. Regards. Hazel

I loved my years at SSM 1969_1972.I taught in the Swindon area for years with a brief spell raising my family.I retired and then worked practically full time as supply for my old school. I eventually finished aged 68.I still home tutor and always love teaching,

Hi Janet, Mr Say was at the 2013 Reunion. Miss Highley, as far as I know lives locally in the Salisbury area and I am not sure about Mrs Cowan - but I'll see if I can find out and get back to you.

I have very fond memories of my time studying At Sarum St Michael 1973-76. I hope to attend the 2015 reunion in April and would love to know who else from those years will be attending. It would be great to meet and chat after all these years .I am a recently retired deputy head/early years teacher. I loved my job but I am enjoying learning new things myself now.

Hello Janet and Joss, it's good to see people from 69-72 on this site. Why not come to the reunion next year? I usually attend with Cathy Dixon and a small group of friends. We are always wishing there were more of us!

In answer to Janet Launchbury's query about members of staff. As far as I know Jean Highley may still live in the Wilton area but was not at all well when I last had any information about her. and John Say and Sheila Higgins were very much involved with proof reading "Inspired to Teach".

I was at STC 1949-51, remember Dorothy Coffin. Shall be 91 soon! I retired in 1992 after working in Gloucester schools. Just found this site after watching the cathedral service today.

Whilst attending STC I stayed in Barnards Cross hostel for the 3 years. Great place run by Mr & Mrs Gibbs, great couple. It wasn't til a few years ago that I realised there were annual reunions. Wonder if anyone remembers me, left in '71. My surname in those days was Booth. Would love to hear from anyone from that time who remembers me and hopefully meet up, even at the annual service in May in Salisbury 2022.
